COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Following the traditions of Belgian Noel beers, Magnificat is our first offering of a Christmas beer. Like a Belgian-style strong dark or quadruple ale, this dark beer has a rich, silky malt profile of caramel and roasted malts, rye, and oats, and reveals complementary accents of dark stone fruits and spices from our Belgain yeast. And to create that liquid-Christmas experience, the beer is spiced with clover honey, sweet and orange peels, coriander seed, nutmeg, and cinnamon.

On tap at the brewery. Dark brown pour. Aroma is dark fruit and spices. Flavor is the same as the aroma. Medium body. Enjoyed this one. Well put together and not cloyingly sweet or too heavy in body like a few other Belgian darks Ive tried.

Bottle shared at the 2015 edition of the chriso Pre-GBBF tasting - London. Cheers! Pours clear, deep brown with a creamy, tan head. Big wintery spice aroma, with some dark malts and fruitcake. Medium sweet flavour, with dark and toasted grainy bread, light earthy hops. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, with lingering winter spices. 750mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out paint thinner, perfume and tart fruits - a little spice too. Flavour is tart, perfumey and rather nail polish like. Clashing notes and just bizarre. Not good.
