We took Vellichor — a sour blonde aged in our french oak foudres for 18 months — and aged it further in oak barrels with apricots. Tart, fruity, earthy, oaky complexities.

750. Thanks, J! I think. Pours a cloudy bright medium orange with a loose white head. Bright tangy sweet fruity nose. Ka-POW the body is tart as a mofo right from the attack. Not vinegary, but roiling with juicy, sweet ripe stone fruit flavor. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Explosively flavorful fruit notes and puckery sourness dominate from the attack through the finish.

jc1762 (1472) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 28, 2017
Bottle poured into a taster showing moderately filtered whitish orange with no head. The nose shows a salinity with light notes of apricot that seems much more similar to a berliner weisse. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Highly tart and acetic with apricot forwardness but the acidity seems to be quite off-putting on the beer.
