Almost completely stale liquid that resembles more lambic than geuze. Color is indistinguishable from the genuine stuff from Belgium, and the scent has same tones as we'll. Taste is very much like young lambic, sour, citrusy but it lacks some of the more complex aromas older lambic a have. Still definitely worth a try for its curiosity value especially if one likes lambics. Probably still best to share this (75cl) bottle considering it is overpriced ~400 Swedish kronor @systembolaget

Bottle shared with Esp0r and simonsen at the Beer & Boardgames in the woods trip 2016, thanx for sharing :) Clear golden body with a tiny white head. Aroma is funky with barnyard, fruit, aceton. Taste is rubbery with citrus fruit and leather, acidic sour palate, grape stone finish.

Bottle thanks Jacob - pours gold with thin white head. Nose/taste of lemon, horsey funk, oak, light apple -medium body

kraddel (8074) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - NOV 1, 2016
Pours unclear amberblonde, small white head.Smell is intense, funk.very dry and Sharp sour. Taste is Sharp , very full, dry, bit hollow though. The bourbon aspects don’t really fit. No complexity in the ending, which is mostly malts. Very low carbo. Ok

Flaske disig gylden farge. Lavt karbonert. Hvit skumrand. Smaker stikkelsbær og druestein. Syrlighet av melkesyre. Gabske bra

Pours a pretty hazy golden with a thin bubbly head that leaves light lacing. Nose is of wood, caramel, oxidation and light alcohol. Taste is of wood as well, scotch-like spirits and cardboard. Body is medium, carbonation moderately low and definitely too low for a gueuze and mouthfeel is vinous. Overall a nice experience but far from being the best spirits barrel-aged gueuze/lambic out there.

Bottle 750ml. Pours golden with low white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is of slight vegetal stuff, fruits, cardboard. Taste is of cardboard, lambic-like features, weird bitterness (from wood?). Palate: Light-medium body, soft carbonation. Overall: Decent, but not great. Probably too oxydized. Seems oddly bitter too.

Cloudy light amber pour with some head. Smells like a lambic! And then the taste is a rotten bitter astringent flavor that makes me regret putting this in my mouth.

75CL Bottle from Angst.

A - This pours a burnt orange, the cork pop was uneventful and the cork itself is synthetic. No bubbles formed and no pop of the cork.

S - It has a very slight Faint Gueuze smell of some egg, cheese, lemon and oak and a little mead like aroma despite the low ABV.

T - Taste well there’s a lot of orange here, some medicinal characters, wood, shoe polish and some nail polish along with the standard lambic flavors that are almost completely absent.

M - Mouthfeel is thin, oily, leaves a herb and shoe polish finish.

O - wish this was better. A more malty soured old ale? Really a shame.

czar (9056) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 8, 2016
pours hazy golden with a small bubbly white cap, little retention and lacing. buttery barrels, oxidized grass, orange and citrus fruitiness, rotten fruits, metal, light acidity - some complexity, astringent wood, funky herbs. low carbonation - lacking carb; light body - oily; semi-sweet, astringent and buttery-spicy finish. far from a gueuze but clearly acceptable.

Tasting at Matt’s; synthetic cork
Cloudy golden color with no head. Aroma of Lambic, also cheese (Brie). The mouthfeel is a bit oily, moderately sweet for a Lambic, a lot of orange and cedar peel, less funky and cellar character than most original Lambic, and a lot of astringency in the final.
Not a real Lambic/Gueuze, but a honest pleasant attempt.
