11/VI/17 - 33cl bottle @ Vleteren Craft Beer Festival - BB: n/a (2017-864) Thanks to 77ships and kraddel for sharing today’s beers!
<br / Clear dark brown beer, creamy irregular beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: chlorine, more chlorine, spicy, yeast. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: pretty sourish start, fruity, lots of cherries, some marzipan, bit sweet and sugary, lovely stuff though. Aftertaste: more cherries, fruity, soft roast, little bitter, spicy notes, some chocolate.

Thank you kraddel & tderoeck! Sampled 180 ml. bottle @ VCBF 2017. Dark brown amber. Nose is sweet weird acetonic, overly harsh, boozy, orange peel, low vinous. Boozy, sweet alcoholic, honey, orange peel, overly harsh, something acetonic, vinous. Flat boozy & quite oxidized. Not bad in general but I expected more & the description sounds like it should work better.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2017 @VCBF 2017. Complex sweet yet smooth nose full of dark cherries, liquorice, caramel, slight hints of fresh fruity sourness. Complex, full bodied, creamy flavor, sweet fruits, some caramel and acidity. The roastness is not very apparent but the flavors are perfectly balanced making it a wel enjoyable and very interesting stout. My favorite beer of the festival!

18 cl bottle. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is overripe fruity and caramelish malty. Sweet, soapy and berry fruity. Dark malty and breadish. Caramelish too. Sweet and fruity finish.

Bottle 18 cl. Pours a clear, dark brown with an orangey hue and a beige head. Interesting spicy, berry-like aroma. Rich body, sweet oxidized woody character with loads of cherry notes. A little cloying with nothing much to balance the sweetness. 290115

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 4 Oct 2014) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, cherries and a slight sourness. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, brown sugar, oak wood, a touch of sour cherries and a slight bitterness in a finish with a touch of alcohol. Full body, quite sweet. A bit weird, but with an interesting cherry twist. Fairly drinkable for its strength. Quite nice.
