Bottle. Pours nearly black, small, but stable grey head. Smell is intense, roasted, bit bitter/ chocolatty/mild sweet dark malts, creamy, bit fruity, but that latest is very hidden. Taste is very full, rich dark malts, sweet, typical roasty, chcoolaty, old damn’ familiar hel en verdoemenis ! in the start you get a more specific, sharp taste. Cherries - if you know - and a few other malty, roasty aspects, making it less sweet than the regular h&v. the aftertaste is 100 % H&V though, which is one of the best aftertastes I know. This worked out really well, I love it ! Perfect mouthfeel, of course Svesse (8731) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAR 11, 2016
(Bottle) Black colour with big, dense, pale brown head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of chocolate, black coffee, dark cherries, blackberries, liquorice and a touch of tobacco. Malty, roasted taste with black coffee, liquorice, raisins, dark cherries, dark chocolate and a generous cacao bitterness in a finish with a slight cherry tartness. Full body, with a touch of sweetness. Really tasty and interesting with the sour cherry touch to the Hel & Verdoemenis, and quite well balanced. Great stuff! minutemat (5938) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 19, 2015
330ml bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, July 15, courtesy of Omhper! Many thanks. Pours black with receding tan head. Lovely cherry chocolate aroma. Heavy hel & verdoemenis malts with teasing cherry influence in the taste. Interesting blend, but wanted more cherry. Dedollewaitor (16315) - Odense, DENMARK - JUN 6, 2015
Bottle. Trade with Hackobock. Cheers. Potts black with a creamy beige head. Lots of licorice and coffee and an earthy dusty note AS Well AS an sour fruity edge. Cherry stones and salty licorice. I doubt this is infected. Quite sippable. SlackerMads (3467) - DENMARK - MAY 9, 2015
Bottle sampled at Amager Bryghus, thanks to Papsø. Black with a medium sized diminishing light brown head. Nose has vanilla, coconut, alcohol. Chocolate, cocoa, grains, sour fruits in the flavour, some vanilla, almond. Medium body, oily texture, medium sweet, some sourness. Sour and dusty malts in the finish. Ok, but goes in two directions.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose is pretty robust, with loads of cherries and roasted malt. Flavour brings out a great mix of roasted malt and cherries. I usually don’t like cherries (or fruits) in stouts, but this is done expertly. Rich and robust without any abrasiveness. Excellent. olsvammel (7274) - Örebro, SWEDEN - APR 11, 2015
Bottle from Systembolaget. Smell of sour cherries together with some hard roasted aromas, dark bitter chocolate and burned toast. Sweet and sour taste with a notable cherry aroma, some dark malts and dark chocolate. I’m a fan of cherries so this works for me. But I think it could be a bit harsh on the throat. jesperhammer (4874) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 31, 2015
27-MAR-2014, bottle @Papsø clear all tasting, @Amager Bryghus with Ulkløbben.
Black with lasting creamy Brown head. Aroma is sour! A big bodied roasted sour.
Not a big fan of sour imperial stouts but it Works here. Is it on purpose? I guess infected but I do not care. Nice:-) CloakedDagger (2703) - - MAR 27, 2015
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a pitch black with a light brown head. Roasty nose with a tart edge. Rich body, some initial roast but then a massive sourness comes riding in spoiling most of the fun. Really appears massively infected - strangely for such a strong beer. 270315 zvikar (6344) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - DEC 27, 2014
