Bottled, SBWF. I’m really happy for this beer. Props to anyone who brews a "discontinued" beer style, especially this weirdo ! Unfortunately I was really busy whilst tasting, therefore the sloppy notes. Cloudy charneol colour, low head. Fruity, peaty nose with whiskey resemblance. Rounded mouthfeel (due to the top fermenting fruitiness perhaps), with bit ashyiness, as well as peat and whiskey with a notable fruitiness and alongside clear hop notes. Very interesting beer.

0.33 l bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2009. Hazy brown color. Thick smoky and tarry aroma with apple and leather. Firm tarry smoke in the flavor with berries and mentholy hops. A bit too carbonated. Tastes weird but this is weird historical style, tastes somewhat similar to my homebrewed Grätzer. Great work to brew this rare style!

TEJA (3257) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 21, 2009
Raly nice foam and a litle opque. The aroma is smoky as from oak and a litle acidic. The acid (soft) is also present in the taste together with a plesent smoke. Would have been better rated if not infected.

Svesse (8796) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 4, 2009
(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 25 Sep 2009) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Smoky, malty nose with smoked ham and wheat. Fruity, smoky taste with notes of soap, smoked ham, sourish hints of wheat and citrussy hops in the finish. Medium body, balanced sweetness. Weird beer. Interesting but definitely drinkable.

Slightly hazy copper color, small white head. Smokey, herbal, hayish hoppy and menthol nose. Flavor is similar - very herbal, some smoke, menthol and white. Light, interesting.

It poured a dirty brown yellow liquid with a small white foam. Smelled smokey with some smoked ham. It had a high carbonation with some smoked ham. Weird combo, where’s the wheat?

omhper (25740) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 6, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy amber, small head. Peaty smokey nose. Lightly buttery and heavily smokey. There’s wheat crackers, wet socks and some rustic tarry smoke. Well rounded mouthfeel and quite bitter finish.

ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 1, 2009
UPDATED: AUG 3, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. Pours out in a hazy dark blonde appearance with a small firm white head. Rather peaty and mildly peppery aroma with touches of minerals, an d ashes. Medium-bodied with rounded malty notes of biscuits and neutral yeast with growning undertones of tar, peat, pepper and crisp wet grassy hops. Long crisp grassyu hoppy finish with dryish notes of peat and minerals. Those sleeping old german beer styles is quite funny!
