Pours a cloudy golden color with a white head. Nose is really full of ginger with a mild malt sweetness to it. A sort of spiciness to go along with the sweetness, a hint of pepper, and maybe even some apple pie. The flavor has a bit of green apple to it. Some ginger spice notes, sweet fruity esters, and a hint of peppery and spicy phenols. mjs (7357) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 30, 2012
(Draught at Monks Cafe Wallingatan, 20120626) The beer poured dark brown and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had ginger, spices, sourness and white bread. Palate was medium bodied and a bit burning with medium carbonation. Flavours were spices, ginger, malts, sweetness, white bread and mild bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and mildly bitter. The beer was a bit musty. The level of ginger was not too intense which was nice.
