25cl bottle @ Monks Cafe Wallingatan, Stockholm. (Bottle said 13,5% ABV, aged on MacMyra Whiskey Barrels IBU 70). Pitch black, opaque color, very small light brown head. Smell dark and roasted malts, lightly alcohol, clearly barrel-aged: lots of wood and liquor. Taste dark malts, roasted malts, some coffee, medium bitter, slightly hops, wood and liquor. Very complex, very lovely! Oily texture, medium to full body, low but suitable carbo. AndySnow (7662) - Huddinge, SWEDEN - AUG 8, 2012

Bottle sample at an Imperial Stout tasting at our place. thanks DSG. Pours opaque dark brown, off white film. Soy and prune aroma, soy, sweet, acidic taste. Very soft carbonation, oily texture, oily finish, full body. Dunt (316) - Illinois, USA - MAY 16, 2012
Received from GTH in our first trade together. Thanks Bosse! Pours a deep black with very little head formation, about a 1/4 fingers worth of caramel colored head. Nose is definitely of the Russian variety, it is heavy on the rich malt, dark fruit, and licorice. Flavor has a lot of similar themes to the nose, a lot of dark fruit and licorice. It is pretty dry as well. Mouthfeel is full, albeit a little thin. Carbonation is low and the beer coats the palate nicely. Nice beer! Not sure why this is called a Russian Imperial Porter as this is definitely a RIS, but it’s solid nonetheless. slakemythirst (201) - - MAY 13, 2012
rip2:Doftar kaffe, vanilj, choklad, nötter. Smaken är kraftfull och mycket trevlig. Kroppen är bastant. Balansen är finfin. Lång eftersmak. Fulländad - Jag är nöjd. SirLimpsalot (4244) - SWEDEN - APR 25, 2012
Fantastisk doft av choklad och russin. Mycket fin smak av det samma samt kaffe och toffee. Tyvärr lite tunn vätska och lite svag eftersmak.

250 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours dark reddish brown with a small gray head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace. Smell is sweet with chocolate, vanilla, prunes, alcohol, wood, dark bread, resin and hints of citrus. Taste is sweet, tart and bitter with ripe grapes, toasted malts, chocolate, alcohol, raisins and hints of coffee. Mouthfeel is vinous, tiny tart and full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, tiny sour and tiny dry with bitter chocolate, lemon zest, roasted malts and coffee. great nose but with a taste that leaves you disappointed.
