pours black and muddy. low head wonderful aromas of coffe, figs, dades, raisins and alcohol medium creamy, slightly bitter roasted tones with a medium palate. UPDATED: MAR 3, 2012 (Bottle) Pours black with a black head. Aggressive cocoa and coffee roast backed up by woodsy, resinous, citric, black currant-like and earthy hops. Undertones of alcohol, salt liquorice, light dark fruits and wet leather. The flavour is medium sweet, medium to heavily bitter and tiny acidic with notes of tart roast and tart hops as well as a sting of warming alcohol. Salt liquorice. The mouthfeel is round, light oily and light tart with light to no carbonation. Lots of salt liquorice, raw hops and aggressive hops on the finish. Medium to full bodied.

Leicht oxidierter Beginn von dunklen cremigen aber auch bitteren Malznoten. Süß, röstig, säuerlicher Abgang, leichte Kaffeenoten. Ausgewogen, durch das süß-saure Spiel durchaus süffig. Harmonisches Imperial Porter! /11/12/12/12/12
