Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, and a bit of wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, alcohol, roasted malt, soy sauce, and wood, leadng to a dry roasted finish. Thanks joergen for sharing.

The color is pitch black, with a medium sized brownish head; unfortunately there are slimy sediment blobs on the bottom. The deep aroma of roasted malt, with cream and smoke, is nice. The mouthfeel is quite smooth, and the body well constructed; very strong flavor, of roasted malt, chocolate, dark caramel, leather, and a clear presence of liquorice; the bitterness is very high too; the alcohol can clearly be perceived, but it helps to balance the body and the sweetness, and maybe it’s a bit too high in the end. The final is less interesting, being dominated by the alcohol, and with less structure. Very good.
