On tap at Monks Cafe Wallingatan. Pump Clip said Mekonium Hokmessens’. Clear dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Palate is light and dry. Mild minerals. Oddly sweet medium dark malt. Touch of paper and a skewed tang. A little chalk powder. A little pruney fruit. Finishes smooth and semi dry. What a weird Stout - all over the place!

On tap at Monk’s Café Wallingatan as Hökmossens Mekonium. A black colour with a creamy, light brown head. An aroma of roasted malt, bread, chocolate, coffee and citrus. The taste is medium sweet and bitter. A full body, oily and creamy texture.

Svesse (8578) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 12, 2013
(Draught at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Dark brown colour, almost black, with dense beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of freshly ground coffee, dark bread and slightly citric aromas. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, liquorice, a touch of grapefruit, hints of ink and a balanced bitterness in the finish. A slightly strange acidity is lurking in the background. Almost full body, with a touch of sweetness. Different, but quite nice.

(Draught at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm, 27 May 2013) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty nose with notes of caramel, toffee, chocolate and wort bread. Malty, roasted taste with caramel, cola, wort, brown sugar, coffee, liquorice, a hint of juniper berries and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. More emphasis on malt than on hops, but quite a complex malt character. Very nice.

Draught at the brewpub. Near black with faint beige head. Rich coffee aroma with soil and licorice. Sweetish with full body and roundd mouthfeel. Licorice and soil lingers in a salty finish with long bitterness.

Draught at Monk’s Café Wallingatan, part of the flight "halvmeter öl", on November 16, 2012.
Clear dark brown color, brown head. Nice color, but style wise way too light/not black enough. Sweet, some juniper, butterscotch, red wine (Rioja), vinous, fugde taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness that is dry and sand like. Finishes with a mienral focus. Sweet, malty, mineral, alcohol scent.
