Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, toffee, wort, caramel, roasted nuts, cocoa, a touch of pine needles and generous amounts of citric hops in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Clear dark brown color, fluffy light brown head. Sweet, caramel, sugary, alcohol, roasted, some minty character scent, also a bit of chocolate when getting used to the other scents. Malty, a bit dry, grainy, bitter taste. Dry, grainy, alcohol aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, moderate co2 level, medium high bitterness.
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy dark brown, small head. Spicy hop aroma witha touch of chocolate. Dry with clean, crisp mouthfeel. Spicy hops, nuts and salt. Mid bitter finish. Well drinkable.
