(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 29 Sep 2012) Reddish brown colour, slightly hazy, with frothy brief beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of dried fruit, ripe banana and a touch of yeast. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, blood oranges, dried pineapple, chocolate, vanilla and a gentle spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite decent. Tap @ Monks Porter House. Brown color, with ruby red hue. Massive sweet banana in aroma. Banana, sweet, yeasty flavor. Well I say couple of more times in case somebody didn’t understand: banana, banana, banana, bananananananana batmaaaan erm banana! FatPhil (17334) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 12, 2012

You know those strings that you can peel off the side of a very ripe banana - this smells precisely of those. Alas, ripe bananas squick me, so I was a little perturbed. Fairly yeasty palate, very belgian, and of course, very bananey taste. Those esters are just way OTT. However, it’s a fairly pleasant beer to drink, despite its quirkiness.

Porter House, Stockholm. Slightly hazy ambery brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is banana, some yeast, spices, parfumed soap, biscuits and sweet malts. Flavour is rather similar with chocolate and some quite raisiny/plummy sweetness. A bit tart in the finish.
Draught at Monks Porter House. Muddy brown liquid with medium light tan head. Aroma of banana, dark fruit, biscuit, clove, bubble gum and light caramel. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of biscuit, raisins and banana. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Quite all right, nothing outstanding.

Pours a dark amber color with a khaki head. The aroma is a bit like cola and booze. Fairly heavy on the dark fruit notes with some burnt sugar, caramel, and a mild roast. Lots of raisin and plum, in particular. The flavor is definitely boozy and slightly bitter. A lot of cola, plum, and raisin. Some molasses along with caramel and a mild roasted malt flavor. omhper (25948) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - SEP 15, 2012
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy mahogany colour, creamy head. Floral marzipan aroma. Fairly sweet with light-medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with caramel and buckwheat. Low bitterness. Gentle.
