App: Black with brownish red tints, short light brown head that lace.
Aroma: Very sweet and sugary. Burnt sugar, cold sweet coffee, sweet medium dark chocolate.
Taste: Very sweet with burnt sugar, maple syrup, weak coffee, just a hint of chocolate, some sweet licorice. Pretty ordinary flavours but very sweet.
Palate: Medium to bigger body, syrupy texture and low soft carbonation.
Overall: Way too sweet and syrupy, even for me who tends to be ok with sweetness. It overshadows everything.

Aroma: Liquorice, some chocolate, hint of alcohol.
Body: Medium body, low carbonation.
Flavour: Liquorice, slightly burned, some chocolate.
@ SBWF 2013: ingen större doft. Smaken tycker jag r lite unken. Ingen öl som jag tycker är värd att prova igen.

Black with a small head. This was not that impressive, I wonder how old the beer was? Roasted malt, dried fruit and some bitter coffee but also with light notes of cardboard.

Appearance: The beer is pitch black. The head is light brown, creamy, leaving some lacing, and has good curtains.
Taste: The tast is (of course) sweet initially, dark sugar, raisins and dates, vinous, dark chocolate.
Palate: Medium carbonation, a full body, soft and oily.
Overall: Really a very nice, but young, IS. Would be interesting to store for a few years.

Tap @ Monk’s Porter House. As Monks Porter House Victoria, 10% ABV. Black pour, creamy tan head. Aroma is roasty, creamy, chocolate, licorice, coffee and some bready yeast. (Draught at Monk’s Porterhouse, Stockholm, 24 Sep 2011) Black colour with creamy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted, creamy nose with coffee, chocolate and crowberries. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, cocoa, dark bread and a mild cocoa bitterness in a long finish. Full body, with a mild alcohol sweetness in the background. Lovely beer.
