Pyrmir (6343) - Blattniksele, SWEDEN - OCT 10, 2015
On tap at SBWF15. Black with tan head. Aroma is sweet, coffe, chocolate, vanilla and sugar. Taste is sweet, chocolaty, alcohol, vanilla, slight woody notes and coffee. Smooth and silky mouthfeel but a bit too sweet for my tooth

Mad_Ferret (1027) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 5, 2014
(From backlog) 33cl bottle as "Monks Victoria Imperial Stout" @ Monks Porter House, Stockholm. Label says batch 153, 10.3%, 68 IBU, Limited to 60 bottles.

App: Black with brownish red tints, short light brown head that lace.

Aroma: Very sweet and sugary. Burnt sugar, cold sweet coffee, sweet medium dark chocolate.

Taste: Very sweet with burnt sugar, maple syrup, weak coffee, just a hint of chocolate, some sweet licorice. Pretty ordinary flavours but very sweet.

Palate: Medium to bigger body, syrupy texture and low soft carbonation.

Overall: Way too sweet and syrupy, even for me who tends to be ok with sweetness. It overshadows everything.

@ SBWF 2013: ingen större doft. Smaken tycker jag r lite unken. Ingen öl som jag tycker är värd att prova igen. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

gyllenbock (9990) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 29, 2013
Sample at SBWF 2013.

Black with a small head. This was not that impressive, I wonder how old the beer was? Roasted malt, dried fruit and some bitter coffee but also with light notes of cardboard.

Aniela (4215) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 5, 2013
Draught at Monks Porterhouse, Stockholm. Black beer with a beige creamy head. Chocolate, a bit smokey, fruity aroma with some leather notes. Ashy, chocolate and fruity aroma. A bit thin. Namned as Victoria in juni 2013.

rarbring (2290) - Linköping, SWEDEN - OCT 15, 2012
Aroma: The smell is very much raisins and currants, sherry and Madeira.
Appearance: The beer is pitch black. The head is light brown, creamy, leaving some lacing, and has good curtains.
Taste: The tast is (of course) sweet initially, dark sugar, raisins and dates, vinous, dark chocolate.
Palate: Medium carbonation, a full body, soft and oily.
Overall: Really a very nice, but young, IS. Would be interesting to store for a few years.
Note: On-tap at Monks Porter House in Stockholm. Reviewed 2010-11-11.

Borresteijn (7521) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 25, 2011
On tap at Monk’s Porterhouse, Stockholm, ABV 10%. Reddish black colour, light beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, dark fruits, chocolate. Flavour is sweet, malty, fruity, chocolate, cream, light bitter hard roasted finish. Medium bodied. More like a doppelbock, really malty stuff.

Svesse (8831) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 25, 2011
(Draught at Monk’s Porterhouse, Stockholm, 24 Sep 2011) Black colour with creamy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted, creamy nose with coffee, chocolate and crowberries. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, cocoa, dark bread and a mild cocoa bitterness in a long finish. Full body, with a mild alcohol sweetness in the background. Lovely beer.
