Bottle. Bit of a slow gusher, or at least overcarbonated. Nose green plus candy store plus sticky caramel plus subtle wood, spice, berry. Pour hazy amber (golden-red) with a huge, uncontrollably large beige head. Taste medium-strong bitter and gaining, sticky dark malt with toast and some roast, heavy rye, strong dough from the hops, pine, grass. Caramel malts are strong and need more foundation under them, also tend to cloy. A little more alcohol than expected showing both in kick and heat. Medium spice, bright light-medium citrus, bit of tobacco, bit of low-level fruit way at the bottom. Medium-full body but the airiness and heft make it seem a little heavier. It’s a big, chaotic mess, but it’s does have an unusual flavor profile and might be worth a try if you want something a little heavier on your palate. This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown color with a white rocky foamy head. Took forever to dissipate. Mild stringy lace.
The aroma had a sweet floral to herbal earthy malty flow to the hops which were slightly citrusy, woody and piney.
The flavor yielded to the sweet side embracing all of the same tones of the aroma. Some caramel malts meld fine into the beer. Aftertaste was the blend of the malts to the floral/earthy portions. Finish was long and malty.
The palate was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, seemed alright for the most part, but I was hoping for more "rye." I missed that memo of these guys not putting it in this beer. How about I start a riot at this brewery for rye to be put in the beer? Holdwine (1240) - Beertimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 11, 2016

Bottle from Perfect Pour. Dark brown caramel body with thin, puffy head. Nose is hoppy, but also of grains, spices and malts. Taste is quite hoppy, a nice IPA style, with funkier spicier notes. Burning finish. Just a really nice beer. Really well done.

Bottle. Hazy Amber. Large head. Smells of black tea with hints of citrus. Taste is a lightly fruity malty mix of dried leaves, tea, dark fruits, and citrus peel. This is tasty.

Pours a deep amber with tight, fluffy head.
Heavily citrus and slightly resinous nose. Spice was not immediately apparent.
Very effervescent on the palate. Rye comes through, but is just a bit discordant with the hop character.
Finishes with resin and lightly spicy.
A solid beer, but not the cleanest blend of rye.
