Taster on tap at Brewers Alley. Labeled on the menu as simply "XB", with 5.2% ABV listed. Hazy chestnut color. Thin ring of white head. Couple bits of lace. Nutty aroma. Bigger bitter taste. More dry finish, minimal sweet. Light body. Smoother, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation, and a dry texture. Doesn’t really seem like this works. Bitter yeah, but could use more aromatics from both the hops and malts. Experimental status makes sense. BeerandBlues2 (14515) - Escondido, California, USA - MAR 9, 2014

Draft pour at Meridian Pint. Cloudy brown color, small off-white head. Aroma was some sweet light malts, some light crisp yeast notes. I was pretty sure they said it was a lager on the menu - a Brown Lager or whatever, but I enjoyed it anyway. strongpieman (1651) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - JUN 22, 2013
