A murky orange amber DIPA with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, nice fruity biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, light tropical fruits, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with citrusy floral hops, pink grapefruit, alcohol warmth, very nice. On tap at L’autre oeil.

500ml bottle. Murky brownish orange with a foamy white head. Flavors are grapefruit, pineapple, guava, resinous hops and alcohol with grassy notes. Medium body, moderate to good carbonation, smooth texture.

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2017 Bottle (30/06/17). Appearance: heavily cloudy dark orange with hazy blond reflections. Smell: nice malt fruitiness, with low hops aromatics and perhaps some yeast(s) presence. Taste: grapefruit, orange, nice fruity malts, some resins but still low, with interesting aromatics, alcool notes, mid-high bitterness, quite drinkable for style. Overall: very interesting take on a rarely mastered style on Quebec’s beer scene, with original yeast presence and nice feel.

Bouteille 500 ml. Bravo.

Bottle from Marché Sevelin A: loads of pineapple, citrusy, mango and tropical fruits. App: murky light brown with lasting white head. T/p: med body with short bitter finish. Moderate carbonation. O: This bottle show some sign of oxidation. The color isn’t appealing and while the aroma isn’t as much affected, it feels like it isn’t as bright as it should. That problem fix, I feel it would be a killer beer. Let’s hope they narrow down the problem and brew this again in a near future.

pours cloudy medium grey-golden with a small off-white cap offering some retention and lacing. lots of pale fragrant melons, almost juicy phenols, some that are already digested, minty and dilly sorachi-like hop action, fruity and somewhat wheaty maltiness, warming wooden alcohol, never overwhelming; very fruity yeast action. moderate carbonation, medium body - oily; balanced tropical-fruity finish. uncommon double ipa on neipa grounds but a seemingly off-charted hop bill - much enjoyed this one!

Bouteille 500ml.

Eructoblaster (4330) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 25, 2017
Bouteille - 500ml.
