COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stein-Bier: Die Kelten erhitzten die Bierwürze in den Holzbottichen mit heissen Steinen, an denen der Malzzucker karamellisierte. Während der Reifung entstanden so rauchige Karamellaromen. Das Bock-Bier ist ein alkoholintensives Bier mit einer Vielfalt an komplexen Aromen. Aus der Verschmelzung dieser beiden Bierspezialitäten entsteht das Monsteiner SteinBock-Bier. Das spezielle Herstellungsverfahren mit Bergquellwasser, mit Bündner Bio-Gerste von GranAlpin und mit Schweizer Aromahopfen verleiht diesem Bier die dunkle Farbe und den typischen Geschmack. Das SteinBock-Bier ist ein naturtrübes, untergäriges Gerstenbier mit 6.5 %vol. Empfohlene Trinktemperatur 15° C.

pours a cloudy deep amber with a medium off-white head and some lacing. aroma of sweet malts, caramel, dried plums. flavour of dried fruits, toffee, hay, nuts. not extremely sweet, slightly bitter finish.

(bottle) clear copper colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of rotten peaches and straw, with lots of powdered sugar, some wheat and banana skins. flavour is mostly bubble gum and caramel, quite sweet, with a hint of roasted malts and some bran flakes in the finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Amber color with a fine off white head. Some lacing. Caramel malty, toffee and dried fruit. Medium (+) body. A bit sweet and a moderate carbonation. Average carbonation. Dried fruits, nutty, toffee and caramel malt. Decent, although a bit to sweet.

Bottled 330ml. -from Coop (near) Verbier, Switzerland. Amber coloured, small white to off-white head, hint of caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, dried fruits and quite sugary with moderate sweetness in the finish. Sugar ruins everything here.

I was surprised by tag color and the aromas. But as a lot of "bio" beers, this one is too "light" and doesn't have a lot of taste, but a good feeling on the palate
