COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Stein-Bier: Die Kelten erhitzten die Bierwürze in den Holzbottichen mit heissen Steinen, an denen der Malzzucker karamellisierte. Während der Reifung entstanden so rauchige Karamellaromen. Das Bock-Bier ist ein alkoholintensives Bier mit einer Vielfalt an komplexen Aromen. Aus der Verschmelzung dieser beiden Bierspezialitäten entsteht das Monsteiner SteinBock-Bier. Das spezielle Herstellungsverfahren mit Bergquellwasser, mit Bündner Bio-Gerste von GranAlpin und mit Schweizer Aromahopfen verleiht diesem Bier die dunkle Farbe und den typischen Geschmack. Das SteinBock-Bier ist ein naturtrübes, untergäriges Gerstenbier mit 6.5 %vol. Empfohlene Trinktemperatur 15° C.

Bottle @home. Pours cloudy amber with quickly disappearing white foam. Fruity and yeasty aroma. Fruity taste, little watery.

Off-white rapidly disappearing small head. Hazy copper, yeasty. Caramel, malt, herbs, metal, sugar. A bit oily. Like a lot of swiss bier, it missed the mark of the style.

330ml bottle in Zermatt. Light brown slightly cloudy little head. Sweet strong nose, fudge, fruit, peppery alcohol. Flavour lots and lots of dried fruit, fudge, toffee, bit of a bit at end, alcohol weight. Perhaps slightyl offish wheat. But very nice.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a nice copper with a small, thin, eggshell colored head. Aroma of sweet grains, caramel, mild toffee. Some herbal and tea notes. Flavor is fairly sweet with a mild grain notes. Some slight herbal bitterness towards the back end. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Pretty interesting.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy copper with a medium, quickly fading white head. Aroma is mostly caramel and a little bit of red fruits. Taste is sweet, caramel and some malts. Medium body, low to medium carbo. Very average.

Bottle brought home by my wife from visit to Switzerland. Beer pours a somewhat hazy, amber colour with a decent sized off-white head. Sweet caramel, hoppy aroma. Medium bodied, average/soft carbonation, fruit/malt finish with a lingering bitter aftertaste.

Dark amber colour with a short lived lightbrown head. The aroma are mostly roasted malty but also chocolate after a while.

Reddish/amber coloured with a medium, tanned head with a good lacing. Smell of caramel, red wine, red berries. Taste: a bit sweet with caramel, again a bit like berriesat the end a bit of mint/grass. Medium bitterness, full body.
