Nice looking amber beer, but without special aspect. Not a bad beer, but not a beer that I would highly recommend. kingstoni (2134) - FINLAND - DEC 31, 2014
Bottle. Slightly hazy amber color with a huge foamy off-white head. Aroma of caramel, bread and yeast. Slightly bitter taste with a sour finish. Medium body.florent.janssens (369) - - DEC 31, 2014

Belle mousse. un peu sucré. On sent assez fort l’alcool en arrière goût avec un peu goût houblonné. Bière bonne mais sans intérêt particulier. Ulysse (539) - Brussels, BELGIUM - DEC 31, 2014
Rather weak aroma. Tastes like the regular Belgian ale. Alcohol aftertaste. A bit sweet. One of the less interesting trappist. Daanminator (476) - Waalwijk, NETHERLANDS - DEC 28, 2014
Een donker troebelige kleur met een riante schuimkraag.
Bier smaakt zacht, licht zoet. Zeer aangenaam bier.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Hogerdijk, Culemborg.
Hazy brown with a beige head. Aroma of yeast, caramel and dried fruits.
Taste is sweet with a long soft finish. Not that special and given the price for which you can buy almost 2 Orval, Rocheforts 10, Chimay Blue or any other great Trappist not worth the money. Slightly disappointing, this being brewed at Chimay.

Bottle from Delhaize, dark amber colour with a white head. spicy aroma. light bitter taste MonsterMagnet (1521) - NETHERLANDS - DEC 14, 2014
Bottle, bb 2014. Pours murky amber/brown with an off white head. Aroma: raisins, black currants, spices. Taste: dates, raisins, dough, apricot, banana, nutmeg, earthy, dust. Sweet, moderate light bitterness, body feels a bit thin, somewhat dry, sweetish and tannin finish. bonkiedeaap (789) - Leerdam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 14, 2014
Bottle from Verheijen in Poppel. The beer has a dark amber color and a rich white head, with a lot of bubbles. The aroma is spicy, with hints of caramel and dark fruits. The taste is smoked and light bitter, with in the background recognizable tones of caramel and fruits. The finish dry and fruity and is also very long. Though the label says trappist, this one is not authentic. Despite of that, it’s not a really special one. Nice to try once, but very expensive. For this money I would rather buy a Rochefort. Bottle 33cl. Beer exploded from bottle when opened. Color dark orange/amber with an off white head. Aroma reminds me of oranges, fruits. There’s yeast too. Taste is softly sweet at first with a slowly rising bitterness to the aftertaste. Not bad at all.
