Bottle 75cl from the brewery kindly shared by Dominique. A slightly cloudy amber ale with low head. Nose is very vinous with wood and sour touch. Aroma is on the vinous part too, slightly sour, lot of oak and red fruit touch, some diacetyl, long sour and fruity aftertaste, very interesting, quite complex, a bit too yeast like. fiulijn (20516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 6, 2012
Bottle from La Cave à Bulles, Paris
Dark amber color, clean, with small head, short persistence. The first whiff is delicate and vinous, leaving space later to some caramel, candi sugar, oak. The body is slimmer than expected; caramel flavor with very moderate sweetness, the alcohol perception is a bit too much, it has nevertheless an additional dimension given by the wine barrel.
Pleasant, but a bit boozy, not fully satisfying.
