Keg @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s deep brown with a tiny head. The nose is smokey berry, some ham and plenty of dried wood. The taste is chocolate powder, some cocoa and coffee cake. Smoked ham on the long, smooth finish. Nice buoyant body. An accomplished, well-balanced smoked beer.

Bottle. Pours a pitch black, clear beer with a big brownish, tanned head on top. Aroma of massive smokey notes, all kind of smoke, mostly wood and charcoal though. Some roasty notes as well. Flavor is light sweet and roasty, smoke is more present after swallowing. The balance in this one is great, a nice full bodied stout with an incredible smokey presence. Even better is the low abv. Slightly high in carbonation, long in the aftersensation of all the smoke. Nice.one.

Clear purplish brown beer, big aery beige to almost brown head. Aroma: pretty peated indeed, sweet, caramel, dried fruits, hint of chocolate. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit sweet, sugary, quite a lot of peat, soft bitterness, more peat. Aftertaste: pretty roasted, very bitter, peated, caramel, coffee, more peat, way too much.
Black. Beige head. Aroma is a little bit of burnt wood and a bit of chocolate. Creamy texture with a bit of a peat taste. Smoked seems a bit of a stretch. Calisky (3099) - ALSACE, FRANCE - NOV 19, 2016
UPDATED: NOV 20, 2016 Couleur noire, forte mousse beige. Fort nez fumé. Gout malt fumé, fumé boisé avec une note douce herbeuse houblonnée, un peu tourbe. Bon corps. Fin fumée sur la cendre. Vraiment très agréable, du Mont Salève comme d’hab! SeniorZozo (1875) - Budapest, HUNGARY - AUG 9, 2016
