Pours a deep dark amber color. Aromas of roast malts, fruit, and a hint of nuts. Flavor is Roast malt, with hoppy bite in the finish and aftertaste. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 12, 2004
Bottle. Reddish brown with long lasting thin head. Slightly artificial aroma, touch of vanilla. Wood, vanilla and nut flavour. Finish is a little chemically. Overall effect is a little uneven. Gusler (2653) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAY 9, 2004
The beer after extricating itself from the 12 ounce brown bottle sets in the class a clear brown with a modest light tan head, the lace a thin sheet to cover the glass. Nose is malt sweet, fresh and pleasing to the senses, start is sweet, the top thin. Finish has a benign acidity, the hops quite mild an unassuming, dry aftertaste, a bit weak for my liking, but drinkable especially now as the temperature has climbed into the 100’s. syrupy nutty nose with some roast on top. some pine and bark flavors as well. cloudy, copper brown in color. taste flows well from the nose, thin in body, low bitterness. hops are mellowy piney, not very assertive kyzr (1593) - Montana, USA - NOV 14, 2002
Really a weird aroma to it. Sweet musky. Very little hop flavor, but nice roast that open up after it comes to temp. Finishes very clean.
