Bottle thanks to Sarah! Pours a hazy orange amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a decent amount of tart fruits and dry red wine with a hint of sweetness underlying. Flavor has an interesting combination of dark wine, tart fruits, sweet grains and a bit of an oak note.

Bottle thanks to Sarah! Deep amber pour with a tiny head. Complex nose. Some shoe leather. Grape fruit leather and nutty, toasty malt. A bit of wild funk. Some manure. Wine barrel character. Some oak. Lightly tart flavor. Funky grape skin. Fairly sweet backbone. Dry, somewhat bretty finish.

At a tasting, thanks, small bubbly head, murky Red color, aroma of chicken soup, glur and eucalyptus, eucalyptus shrubby flavor, some fruity sweetness in the back, strange bitterness. Really strange.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks troubles. 2009 bottle. Hazy golden. Sour aroma with wood, vinegar, wine, fruitiness. Sweetish flavor with wood, a bit of vinegar, soap, sourish note, fruitiness, eucalyptus, weird bitterness, alcohol. Weird. Not pleasant.

bottle @ Belmont Party Supply / Dayton OH --- Aroma of malt. Cloudy amber brown color, beige head that drops to a full cover, sheets of lace. Taste is malt that quickly becomes vinous, almost sour, but not in a "sour beer" sort of way. An odd brew, with the separate parts refusing to come together. Not a good idea.

Dolii Raptor 2012.
