Bottle thanks to Beerlando. Pours a cloudy light brown with a thick white head. Aroma is lightly sour with some sweet wine notes and earthiness. Flavor has some sour cherry notes, light oak barrel, and a nice sour and tart background. Not acidic at all--very nice palate. Quite enjoyable! 8/4/8/4/15 (3.9/5)

Bottle... mgumby10s & hopscotchs Watching the Final Four from Face Down on the Floor Throwdown!... Murky orange ale with a huge, creamy, off-white head. Permanent retention. The fruity, earthy, lactic aroma provides notes of wood, citrus and funk. Medium to full-bodied with prickly carbonation. Tart, citric, lightly woodsy flavor. Lengthy, sweet-tart finish that bitters up and dries out at the very end.

Bottle. Poured a medium cloudy blond. Nose had some sour notes, sweetness, and the barrel aging was apparent. Flavor was similar, was very mildly sour, with lots of malt flavor. Nicely carbonated with a sweet and spicy finish. Nice interesting beer.

Courtesy hopscotch. Pours a dark copper color, with a medium off white head. Smells of acidic fruits, caramel malt, oak, and yeast mostly. Dug the nose quite a bit. The flavor had a good bit of acidity to it an came of fairly sour. Very sharp and biting on the palate. The oakiness and fruitiness of it, along with a nice big malt presence, kept it balanced and easy to drink. Pretty complex overall, finish left tartness and sweetness on the tongue. Tasty brew.

Slightly cloudy amber color with a thin stark white head. Slight malic fruity aroma, mild funk, some lighter grain underneath. Slight funky sharp start yields to a fruity base. Not terribly complex, but still nice.

Poured a hazed orange amber color with a medium sized off-white head. The aroma was a mix of spices and wild yeast. Woody with some fruity malt. The flavor was woody and fruity with some vanilla notes. Light warmth and a light-medium body. Tasty stuff.

Thanks to goldtwins for sharing. Deep cloudy amber beer with a very creamy white head. Aroma is quite nice. Very oaky with a lot of soft vineous fruitiness. A little bit of peppery character. Strong estery aroma. The flavour shows strong Belgian malts that have dried out quite a bit in the barrel and a chewy fruitiness as well. Fairly vineous with lots of oak flavour as well. Its hefty, but complex and enjoyable.

Bottle. Hazy orange red coloured with a huge off white ehad. Light acidic aroma of white wine with notes of oak, brett and vanilla. Light acidic flavour of white wine with notes of oak, brett, vanilla and hops. Oaky and hoppy finish.

Thanks to goldtwins for sharing - very cloudy, peach-colored beer, with a foamy head - aroma of oak, cherry, light earthy funk, mild spice, a bit of fruit skin tannins - full but soft carbonation - mellow vanilla and oak, some red wine character, warming spices and alcohol - some herbal bitterness on the back - the barrel is really well-integrated, and never overpowering - very nice.

13 oz bottle. This is so completely different from the base beer, the barrel aging has really improved this into an exceptional beer. Pours slightly darker amber than the demon hunter with a large creamy long lasting head. Nose is definitely bretty but not overly so, woody and oaky with some definite spice and caramel. The flavor is just amazing. In fact its quite similar to the Saint Bon Chien I had earlier in the night. Not as deep or quite as complex but the flavor profile is similar. Woody and tart with a sour finish definite cherry though not as intense as the bon chien. Spicy middle with some black pepper. Perfect carbonation and perfectly hidden alcohol. Wonderful, and probably will get more so with a year of age on it.
