Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is has a lot of brett character combined with notes of malt, caramel and wood. The flavor is sweet malty with lighter notes of brettanomyces and wood, leading to a dry and slightly tart finish. Nice. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Papsoe (25055) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 9, 2008
(Bottle 37,5 cl.) Courtesy of yespr. Hazy amber golden with a creamy off-white head. Tart, Brettish aroma. Quite full-bodied with a somewhat low carbonation, extremely sweet fruit and a strange acidity. This beer points in many different directions, but I actually find it quite interesting - but harmonious? No! I take it that the Bretty aroma was intended. 200608

Cloudy amber color; creamy head. It’s a good Belgian Ale, with a balance between sweetness, malt, fruitness. Indeed the aroma is a bit vinous, and with very light vanilla too. Good mouthfeel, with a light astringency from the cask ageing. Very good.
