COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

At least 4 months old. Very balanced smoked and honey nose with a slight pepper note on the end. Good malt profile that blends in well with the smokey peat.

Sample at Vini Birri, shared with Mathieu87 and 77ships. APPEARANCE: dark blond beer, small unstable white head. NOSE: smoked, herbs, spices. TASTE: smoked, herbs, weird but balanced.

750 ml. bottle sampled @ Vini, Birre, Ribelli 2014. Clear golden, bubbles. Oily nose, light peat, lemon, smoke, peat is clearly there but no overkill. Taste is bitter peat plastic, oily lots of malts, herbal, leaves. Strong, lightly plastic malt body. Taste is peat but not very outspoken, middle-of-the road with plenty of malt. Middling & not overly outspoken but drinks nicely.

Davvero buona!

Schiuma bianca, abbondante, fine, mediamente persistente. Tendente all’opalescente. A livello olfattivo miele, caramello, mela verde, frutta acerba, terra, fumo. Mediamente intensa, abbastanza persistente. Finale amarognolo da tostato, affumicato e da luppoli erbacei. Corpo medio, carbonatazione altrettanto. Calda e interessante.

Tap at Open Baladin, Roma, 10/02/13. Hazed mid amber with a big frothy white head that retains well. Nose is dark fruits, malt, smoked gammon, cinnamon, spice, light citrus. Taste comprises medicainal tones, TCP, smoked meat, dark malt, toffee, caramel, background sugars. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, bitterness and smoke in the finish. The ’Rausch’ factor is well balanced in this one - decent smoked fayre!

Bottle in Rome, purchased from Domus Birrae. Light haze on this amber beer, residual white head. Light dry palate. Even malt and some minerals. Not picking up much peat which means this is just a boring malty beer!

On bottle @ 4:20 by Claudio..
