Pours a deep red/black with a head that lasts as long as a brides nightie. Some chocolate and coffee notes apparent in the restrained nose. Body is slighty thin IMO. Big chocolate flavour, with a light bitter finish - slightly one dimensional, but I still like it. Could some pub put this on tap for me in Brisbane please?

A bit of a musty chocolate smell to this one. Appearance is almost black, with no head at all! There is a slight roastiness to the mouthfeel but not a great deal of depth. Not a bad beer though.

Deep dark malts, bit of chocolate and a touch of dry hoppiness. Super dark with a head that laces. bit of sweet then coffee flavour. Rather nice beer. I think I'd enjoy drinking this of a friday evening after work.

The aroma is sweet caramelic with notes of roasted bread. The color is dark brown and it has a small disappearing head. The flavor is of caramel, roasted malt, and a light maltyness, before it ends on an OK bitterness. The body is thin. A boring schwarzbier.

Dark brown coloured. Some chocolate in the aroma. Slightly roasty and malty. Rather thin.

Nice beer! It's a little too watery but then on the other hand, possesses a mild chocolate flavour which is quite pleasant. Nothing much, as far as I can tell, aroma-wise; besides a little more suble chocolate and water. It's appearance is that of a mild Cola with a nice slightly brownish-white head which lasts only approx. 20 seconds. Anyway, after a few attempts at enjoying this brew, I've decided that it's actually quite good.

Flat looking black beer with a good coffee aroma, but a fairly weak malty flavour. Overall a plain dark beer.

Good black color, small tan head tha fade fast. The aroma was malty and nicely chocolatey with a mildhint of fruit coming through, along with a little caramel as well.Nice chocolate and caramel taste with a nice sweetness, and the finish isshocolate and mild coffee with a slight bitterness as well.Very nice Schwarzbier a little sweeter then i was expecting but, still it managed to come off as quite decent. Thanks to Mutant for this nice brew.

alot like carbine stout, lots of chocolate/espresso coffee flavours from the roasted malts, rather tasty and easy to drink

Choos (754) - Taylors Hill, AUSTRALIA - DEC 9, 2003
Aroma was slightly metallic with more than a hint of malt. Roasty flavours with a bit of dark chocolate, mildy sweet but no hop flavours noticable. Bit thin in the mouthfeel but that could be the carbonation.
