There’s plenty of rich maltiness from this Pale Ale and higher-kilned malt combination. The Cascade and special New Zealand hops create a fruity aroma with a dose of bitterness to drive home the hop flavour. A beer for the IPA aficionado with a distinctly Kiwi style. Perfect for a moment spent catching up with old mates.

Benzai (15486) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 18, 2016
Bottle @ home. Clear orange golden color, medium sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, some hops but they’re quite faint and seem a bit old. Lightly bitter. Average body and carbonation. Meh.

Cunningham (7861) - Halden, NORWAY - AUG 18, 2016
A bit low on the hop profile. A decent hoppy blonde ale. Not an IPA.
Clear golden color with a fine white head. Decent dotted lacing. Moderate intensity in the aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation. Fair balance between sweetness and bitterness. Caramel malty, herbal, mild fruity and mild citric flavor.

Bottle at home. Clear murky golden colour, white foamy head. No nose. Watery malty, English hops, light bitterness. Light body, medium carbonation, dry.

JorisPPattyn (9929) - Ursel, BELGIUM - JUL 23, 2016
Small yellowish head, reasonably stable over hazy orange to golden beer. Sweetish, dull, caramelly nose. Véééééry IPA, indeed. Bit dusty even, old syrup. Dryish, both ever so slightly sweetish as bitterish. In the main taste, the bitterness comes out more in force, slightly metallic, only to fade in the finish and aftertaste. Quite slick, very well-carbonated, medium bodied. IPA - pffff... NZL craftbeer scene has a good reputation, but Monteith’s a letdown, IMO.

GSAP (742) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 23, 2016

0.33 bottle.
A clear, gold color with a small, white head of average retention. Aroma of pale malts, caramel, grains, bread, and only a little bit of hops. Taste is malty, sweet, sugary, a tad piney, perhaps also a bit floral but all the hoppy scents are very delicate. A medium body, a creamy texture, and an average carbonation. Finish is long, floral, and slightly more hoppy. Overall the brew is not bad but it does not taste much like an IPA.

arsol (1156) - NORWAY - JUL 21, 2016
Klar orangebrun farge med hvitt skum. Veldig svakt humlet, så det er mer maltpreg i lukt og smak. Smak av malt og karamellsødme. Mild bitter avslutning.

PriorL (3068) - Gent, BELGIUM - JUL 19, 2016
Bottle from Albert Heijn Deinze. APPEARANCE: clear blond beer, small stable white head. NOSE: fruity, little hops, malts, yeasty. TASTE: malty, dry, yeast... Pilsener like...

oermens (49) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 16, 2016
hay, floral, light sweetness, medium bitterness, medium sourness, medium body, thin feel, average carbonation, bitter, easy drink.

Maarten1993 (1230) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - JUL 16, 2016
Drank with Thierry after the Pokemon hunt 12-7-16. Copper taste, mediocre IPA. Not very special.
