There’s plenty of rich maltiness from this Pale Ale and higher-kilned malt combination. The Cascade and special New Zealand hops create a fruity aroma with a dose of bitterness to drive home the hop flavour. A beer for the IPA aficionado with a distinctly Kiwi style. Perfect for a moment spent catching up with old mates.

33cl bottle at home from local supermarket, Maarssen. Nose is malty , fruity, lagerish. Body is clear golden, head is small, tan, frothy, average lasting, good lacing. Aroma is malty, honey, chemical. Medium sweet, light bitter. Finish is medium lasting malty light bittersweet. Light body, slick texture, average carbonation. Easy, refreshing, average malty lagerish, not that bad but nothing to do with IPA, why the hell is this imported to the Netherlands?

Amber golden with stable head. A: sweet malts, light citrus, reminds of Speciale Belge. T: relatively crisp but still none of the hop-heaviness that one would expect for this style. Some fruity elements, mostly citrus, lime, but very faint. Medium bitter development, malty finish. Speciale Belge with fruity elements, but definitely no IPA in the modern sense.

An okay IPA that I picked up at an Albert Heijn. Has a pretty stale aftertaste. Golden with a ton of carbonation.

Koperkleurig, te dun schuim. Weinig geur. Ook koperachtige smaak, verder aardig at best.

33cl bottle from a trade with Douberd! Pours clear amber colour with a small good lasting off-white head. Aroma of mild hops, citrus, caramel. Taste of mild citrus hops, spruce, toasted malt, boring!

Very underwhelming beer, especially since it’s very mildly hopped and quite simple too. Clean enough fermentation, but not any complexity. Sometimes simple is nice, but for that it misses freshness of a satisfying bubble. No. (33cl bottle from Albert Heijn Leuven)

Bottle in Avignon-- Pours clear golden with thin white head. Nose is grassy. Aromas are herbal and spicy hops. Average carbonation, medium body. Medium bitter and grassy finish. A bit boozy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Helder amberkleurig bier met witte wandklevende schuimkraag. Geur: granen, metaal. Smaak: moutzoetig en bitter, metaal. Medium koolzuurprikkel.

What’s in a name. Well if one is expecting an IPA, one should get an IPA. Nice amber colour but with a very small head. Lightly malted and hopped; a hint of peppery herbs. Little bite, little mouthfeel.

33 cl bottle at home. Pours clear golden with medium white head. Aroma: mainly malts, caramel, raisins and some apricot. Taste: medium sweetness with low bitterness. Only malts in the taste. Palate: medium bodied, somewhat sticky texture and average carbonation. This beer would fit better as a blond beer than an IPA, because of the lack of hops.
