3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma. Smells mainly of caramel with some slight hoppiness.
Appearance. Pours a nice earthy red colour.
Taste. Toffee and bread flavours really some to come through here, though with not too much sweetness, considering the lack of hoppiness i wouldn’t really call it an ipa.
Overall. I bought this beer wanting to try a new ipa, whilst bean a good beer it certainly doesn’t deliver in the ipa department.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
33cl bottle from Viking XPRS. Pours clear deep golden to amber with a somewhat short-lived head. Rather malty and caramelly aroma with some fruity notes and hints of citrus and herbs. Medium sweet and not very hoppy with a fairly light bitterness. Completely drinkable, but far from a decent IPA in my book.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light amber. Lightly malty with a minute hop profile. Lightly sweet taste with a dry and solidly bitter finish. Meidum body. Overall, an average IPA. It is lacking in flavour and aroma hops, but makes up for it with lots of IBUs.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle for £1 at Key & Anchor. Shirley. Malt accented beer with an American accent. Not really to my taste, but cheap enough. Some fresh hops would lift it. Drinkable, though not that attractive.
