On tap. Dark amber pour with a small off white head. Nose and flavour is simple biscuity malts with light floral hops. Medium-light body with easy drink ability. OK.

Westmeister (2127) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 20, 2012
Bottle (review from poor old notes) Pours a clear reddish/orange with a medium off white head. Aroma of sweet caramel and muted fruits with notes of grain and light hops. Flavor of malt, grain, light hops and same fruitiness.

DeliriumT (542) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JAN 16, 2012
Pours a deep dark red with delicious looking frothy head on top. Unfortunately, this delicious looking beer offers no aroma or taste. Barely any malt flavour to justify calling this beer an Irish red ale.

At Papsoe’s pre CPH Beer Fest tasting, cheers Henrik! Clear brown beer, medium soft palate. Low carbonation. Mild malt, just a little fruity hop coming through at the end. Bland.

Bottle. Amber colour with a medium lasting head. Aroma of light roasted malt and some chocolate. Slight smoked feel in the flavour, chocolate malt and a hop dry finish. Texture is a little watery

From my hometown, via a multinational. Very middle of the road. A little dry caramel malt with a sweet finish. Not much to say other than if my father, a irish red fan, found this average then I think that speaks volumes for this by the books, portfolio expanding number.

Leighton (22307) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 31, 2010
Bottle. Pours clear, amber-red with a thin, creamy white head. Malty, nutty aroma with some bready caramel. Lightly sweet, more light caramel and toffee, along with some faint, earthen bitters. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with a dirty malt character and faint toast. Not that bad, just about average.

Ungstrup (38414) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 10, 2010
Bottled. A chestnut colored beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has ntoes of caramel, malt, nuts, and metal. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of caramel and lighter notes of fruit, spices, metal, nuts, and caramel, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

Copper color and almost no head. Toast, caramel, faint smoke and chocolate, bread. Not too bad actually. Very malty, and without much hop action going on even given the style.
