Rich gold colour good head ,fruit and malty aroma with a flavour of nuttiness and mellow maltness.Rather smooth lager with crisp finish though a little watery. MBison (548) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - DEC 5, 2007
Bottle (330ml). Poured a rich gold with yellow highlights and a frothy white head. Aroma was musky with some hay, moderate malt, honey and citrus at the back. Taste was initially sweet and smooth with more honey followed by a mild bitterness with biscuity notes towards the end. Light bodied with a watery texture and short/sweet finish. Not to bad for a commercial larger. TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 21, 2007
Draught, a bright gold with a filmy head. A grassy hop aroma, but with a bready malt touch. A sweetish malt flavour, some ginger and a generous hop, but effervescent, palate. Crisp, but not too dry. kempicus (343) - Bakewell, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - MAY 31, 2007
Sweet fizzy lager that tastes the same as any other NZ insipid lager. Unimaginative and undistinguishable from macs gold and export gold. bozoNZ (778) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 3, 2007
Pale golden thin lacy head. Dry dusty, aroma. Faint malt and a touch floral but nothing stands out. Same on the palate. Nothing outstanding but fair all the same.

Nugget Golden Lager. Golden with an average lasting nice white head. Aroma of hops, some sweetness. Flavour is sweet, fruity and malty with some hoppiness. A good tasting brew. Nicko (223) - Ashfield, AUSTRALIA - OCT 26, 2006
Bottle. Disappointed with this one. Headles with no bubbles. Standard macro down under lager with slightly sweeter tastes. Flat and unimaginative. MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - MAY 2, 2006
(bottle) Clear golden colour with a short frothy white head. Dusty and slightly sweet malty aroma with traces of hops. Medium sweet malty flavour and taste, slightly papery and fruity (honey); light to medium body, crispy carbonated mouthfeel. Slim and very light-bitter, low-hopped finish with a tinge of metal. Rather disappointing but certainly drinkable. omhper (25093) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 9, 2006
Draught at The Craypot, Kaikoura. Clear golden, small head. Fruity and fairly sweet. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. There’s some grassy hops, but the rate appears very low. More pleasant malt flavours instead. Low bitterness. A fairly well made, Dortmunder-like lager on the malty side. Linc (739) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - OCT 27, 2005
This was a pretty uninteresting beer. Light malt flavour, very little hop presence. I’m not about to rave about this beer.
