This beer is good - good for its price and it has a crisp taste like stiene pure, feels alot better when you wake up after a night of these - no other chemicals
330 ml bottle Rating from 2010. Koelschtrinker (20232) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 11, 2011

The beer In glass is surprisingly strong golden with a flat crown on medium and lots of carbonation. The beer smells balanced hoppy malty. The Lager starts malty, subtly grainy, with nuances of sweetness in background. The aftertaste has unfortunately somewhat watery. The further course is, unfortunately, watery, as a whole is a bit harsh. No special treat, too lax and watery. BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 27, 2010
[330ml bottle, Peckham’s Edinburgh] Really wasn’t expecting much from this given the other Aussie/Kiwi lagers I’ve forced down over the years, but it was almost something of a surprise. Pretty crisp and thankfully untainted (I’m glad I got no DMS flavours from the bottle I’d acquired). Quite dry too, which makes all the difference. Ok, it’s never going to score spectacularly, but for a cooking lager it’s above average. snuffla (175) - Chch, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 18, 2009
Forgive them, for they know not what they do. Except in this case, i think Montieths did know what they were doing. Sully a once good name with this watery filth in the aim of selling more and more. Hints of DMS was all picked up in aroma and a watery thin-ness with a slight sweetness. Seriously a bad beer. If i hadn’t been at work (and i wouldn’t have drank it if it hadn’t been work drinks) this would have been down the drain in a flash. A waste of a beer.

330 ml bottle at The Tap Room (a Monteith’s concept bar) in Christchurch. Pours clear gold with a big white head and a lot of visible carbonation. Aroma of malt, corn, grain, hops, skunk. Flavor follows suit. Light, watery, and heavily carbonated. Seems like just an average take on a German lager. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 19, 2009
Bottle at the Porterhouse, Covent Garden, April 2008. Fairly standard pale lager. Clear gold colour. A hint of grainy malt in the aroma. Sweetish. Slightly metallic. Drinkable but dull.

Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. Refreshing but borring !
330mL Bottle. Golden coloured beer with a white head. I didn’t mind this beer, it was actually better then expected. Sure its been over marketed, but has a Unique taste, similar to Steinlager in a lot of ways. Slightly heavier hopped. Crisp, easy drinking lager.
