This is one of the best beers - have this in winter and you dont even need it under room temperature, nice ale taste

Hoppy with smell of honey. Brown in colour

Caramel aromas and look. Delightful mothful of berries and hops. Best Monteith I’ve tried yet. A fizzy head reduces to a soft drink very quickly.

I really liked this. I’m a sucker for a straight-shooting well balanced amber ale. I would choose this over any macro anyday. Flavourful (mildly sweet, caramel, roasty malt, slightly bitter) without being overpowering so that it also is a great thirst quencher. This style is definitely my "bread & butter" beer-- enough character to keep me interested, but easy drinking and refreshing as well. Two others that I put into this exact category are James Squire’s Original Amber Ale (AUS) and Big Rock’s Traditional Ale (CAN).

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild-malty, not too roasty, fine dry notes. Light hints of caramel. Finish still mild but not washy, well balanced malty. Nice!

Dobre i smaczne, treściew piwo amber ale. Piana średnia ale trwała, tworzy kręgi na szklanicy. Rudo-brązowy kolor. Piwo aromatyczne w smaku, finisz bardzo wytrawny.

Red-brown, malty, sweetish, balanced bitterness.

Tap. Pretty good. Aromas of coke and roasted malt. Flavour is sweet, with average duration. Velvety mouth feel, with a thin-medium body. Brown colour, with a thin fizzy head that doesn’t last.

bierkoning (13364) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - MAY 23, 2006
Amber color, light blackcurrant aroma. Thin to medium bodied. A slight hoppiness matched by blackcurrant (cascade hops?) Hint of caramel. Citric aftertaste. Nice!
