The intensity of Northwest American hops with the liveliness of NZ hops, filtered to give a clear straw appearance. A zesty citrus aroma followed by a full malt flavour and crisp finish. Perfect for the moment you finish washing down the boat. Brewed with Pacifica hops, replaced by Southern Pale Ale which uses Southern Cross hops.

Desverger (12248) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 12, 2014
[email protected] Ferrers, Streatham - golden pour with medium white head. Aroma and taste is light floral and hoppy fruity, pretty subdued, toasty malts, some herbalness prehaps, pretty weak and watery, light bitter finish. All abit meh.

Viter (34) - CZECH REPUBLIC - FEB 22, 2014
(Bottle) below average beer. Colour is pale gold with weak white head. Malt and little hop in the aroma. Taste is malt but sort of sour. The sourness goes all the way till the end and lingers in the background. Very distant hoppy bitterness. Finish is week with the sour and bitter still fighting... Medium body, high carbonation. Much more like lager than ale and not very good lager anyways...

kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 8, 2014
The head is medium, body blond. It smells a bit hoppy, flowery. The taste is bit hoppy, bit flowery, mild and boring.

TheNucleator (21) - NEW ZEALAND - JAN 13, 2014
The bottle description is very misleading. It does look like a beer, but that’s about it. Nothing detectable in the aroma. No flavours to speak of. Insipid, watery and weak mouth feel. A dismal effort.

M_Sack (750) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - SEP 1, 2013
Monteith's let me down again and I will not be going back. Nothing on their label seemed to exist in the beer. All I got was a pale looking beer that smelt of nothing, was watery with a touch of grass and metal. Not Enjoyable.

beerledgend (1196) - Waterloo, Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 17, 2013
Light gold colour with tick white head. Mild hop aroma, strong malty flavour. Slight bitter after taste. Is not unpleasant, just a little bland.

DylansDad (652) - North Shore, Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 16, 2013
This does not live up to its hype. No surprises here. Marks off for marketing itself as anything other than tasteless, cloying slosh.

Oakes (18199) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 15, 2013
Hazy tan, thin head, lemon-lime hop aroma, earthy American bitterness (old cascades). Light florals, good balance, slight tartness in the finish.

Rangi (672) - NEW ZEALAND - DEC 30, 2012
Not at all what the bottle described. Fairly disappointed with this effort. Just another mediocre pale ale with a fancy name to catch the eye but does not have the beer to back up the description on the label. Really disappointed.

Rosslew (320) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 19, 2012
Poured from bottle. Little head. Very light with not much carbonation. Smells hoppy in the glass and very light on the tongue. Short on after taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
