Nice fruity aroma. Pale golden colour with good head. Slight bitterness up front with very smooth finish. Medium body and carbonation. beerledgend (1196) - Waterloo, Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 17, 2001
Light golden in colour, swett tasting, very refreshing...................... KiwiInTheUK (6) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 5, 2008 does not count
I have good memories of this one, very refreshing on a hot summer day at the bbq/beach in NZ.. Nothing too strong flavourwise, but there’s something fresh and tasty about it nonetheless, makes it a heck of a lot nicer than a lager, very refreshing and drinkable. drpimento (3760) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 16, 2012
Little bit of an odd duck here. Served cold and with a creamy, off white head that soon settled to a light cover and lots of fine lace. Color is a clear amber with some bubble trails. Aroma is malt, grain, hop. Flavor’s like nose, grain flavor pronounced, light carbonic tang, mild sweetness and hop bitter. Body is ok, ditto carbonation but even so, it still seems somehow a little flat. Finish is like both flavor and body, which doesn’t work to the beer’s advantage. gigged it on that a notch. Kind of weird; i like it, but then again... meh. Shadallion (534) - Sacramento, California, USA - FEB 7, 2004
A sweet but very hoppy pilsner, not at all skunky, thank the good Lord. Interesting contrast of soft mouthfeel and tongue-tingling bitterness on the back end. I really like this!

Definitely a lot going on in the nose and the appearance, with the various flavor notes such as grass, lemon, and spice, and a fine frothy head. Although the taste is not as complex as many Eurpean pilseners such as PU and Mahr’s, it is well balanced and fresh-tasting nonetheless. UPDATED: OCT 30, 2014 Bottle at Taps, Leicester. Crisp, herby, pizza crust, grassy Pils. Thick bubbles. Nice rainwasser arome. Enjoyed this. illinismitty (2377) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 19, 2010
Bottle from Friar Tuck in Savoy. Pours golden with a white head. Typical aroma of pilsener malts, lemon, and hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Flavor of biscuit, lemon, pils malt, and spicy European hops. Perhaps a very slight amount of DMS on the finish. Pretty straight forward and not worthy of the low rating here.
