COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moneith's limited release Summer Ale is a refreshing different beer. Its uniquie style dates back to the late 19th century when ther was an adherence to brew with distinctive spices. True to tradition, this bright gold beer's spiciness adds a real flavoursome zest-balance by a touch of Rata honey and four different malts. Try it ice cold with a wedge of orange or lime.

Golden and fizzy. Aroma of cheap lager and honey. A little citrus and honey. Not quite a San Adams Summer. Could be a solid session beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a bottle at home. Light amber color, not much aroma and foam. But in the taste I liked the ginger, refreshing. For a warm day an alright starter.

Golden colour with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour are strong with ginger root and said ginger adds a gentle warmth. Light bodied and fresh. It’s not bad but I’m not keen on ginger.

Eerste reactie: Apart...

F: thin, white, quick gone. C: deep gold, hazy. A: malty, light lime, fruity, candy, bit of spicy, Fanta lemonade, very sweet. T: malty, sweet orange lemonade, bit of spicy, yeasty, ginger, honey cake, light to medium body, low to medium carbonation, summer beer for sure but spicy cake sweetness not enjoyable, 33cl bottle from Albert Heijn Duinenwater supermarket in Knokke.

Bottle @ Harpenden Arms, Harpenden. Deep, slightly hazed golden coloured ale with a very thin head and a carbonation. Ginger is dominant in aroma and taste and its aftertaste, but is not overbearing, although there’s no getting away fro it.

Bottle. Colir: Golden, white head. Taste: The ginger is very overwhelming. Some medium and some bittery notes, tropical fruit. Watery, light body.

Clear yellow, white foam head. Light barley aroma. Not nice taste, barnyard. (Trondheim 201707)

Copenhagen 18/6 2017. 33 cl bottle from Meny. Very Orange label assuring me that I get a lively beer with both Ginger and Honey. Pours clear yellow with white head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam. Aroma makes it clear to me that this resembles Ginger Beer more than regular beer. Ginger is clearly the dominating ingredient judging by the smell. Notes of citrus and peppermint. Medium carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is medium sweet followed by light bitterness. Aftertaste is herbal and distinctly Ginger-like. If you associate your summers with abundant consumption of Ginger this is perfect. I was mostly reminded of the all the Health nuts gobbling up Ginger smoothie shots.

(Monteiths Summer Ale) Bottle 330ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 5% Deep golden orange colour on the body, clear, with a good sized, thick white head on top. Aroma of citrus, orange, spices, ginger. Taste has also plenty of ginger, malts, some citrus, lemon peel. Thin body. Okay, nothing special, I also have associated spices with winter beers so that also doesn’t do it for me.
