Bottle poured a clear yellow hue w/ fizzy white fully diminishing head. Moderate aroma of apple juice. Initial flavor is a light sweet w/ a moderate bitter finish of short duration. Tastes are sweet corn, hay and grass. Light body and lively carbonation.

Wow this is bad. Pours a yellowish brown color with a little bit of soapy head. Does not even taste like beer. Taste like one drop of malt extract in some water with a piece of cardboard in it. maddmatt639 (331) - Pacifica, California, USA - JAN 10, 2015
No retention and no lacing. Smells of biscuit, sweet bread and grass. Tastes of lemon, floral and non-bitter hops. No aftertaste.

355ml bottle. Pale gold pour, fizzy white quickly dissipating head. Aroma even smells skunky in the brown bottle, nothing new for this brewery. Flavor is watery and corny, hint of spice and sugar. Bad. massingasetta (744) - München, GERMANY - DEC 29, 2014
This beer is drinkable as a lite beer. It tastes lageresque, but is so watery that the definition of beer is almost endangered. Not the worst beer, but not a mark in the history of brewers either.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2014 [6113-20131220] Bottle. Mild sugary corn aroma. Clear, yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Sweet corn grain flavour. Medium body. Not bad. (6/3/6/3/11) 2.9 dfinney23 (3278) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 30, 2014
Squeeze a lime in this and it would no doubt work just fine to wash down some Tex-Mex. Unfortunately I had no limes and no Tex-Mex so should have skipped it all together. eruizgarcia (341) - - NOV 19, 2014
Pretty much a watered down Corona, if that is even possible. This is the kind of beer that makes you wonder why it exists as a brand.

Montejo has a thick, somewhat fizzy, white head, and a clear, bubbly, golden appearance, with minimal lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, lightly-roasted, bready malts, and the flavor is of sweet bread, mild hop bitterness, and possibly maize. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Montejo finishes crisp, refreshing, and highly drinkable. RJT
