Also smells and tastes skunked. Had this as part of a flight at Monterey Coast Brewing in Salinas, CA. slowrunner77 (12455) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 27, 2014
"this one to me was their "lightest" brew. I can appreciate the subtleties in a good pils, but this one was just average at best, and did nothing to stand out. Not a bad example, but nothing special. Crisp and clean...little else. More malty than hoppy. I like the hop bite in the finish." MattH (889) - California, USA - JUN 20, 2014
Tap at the brewery. Light gold pour. Nice bready flavored beer. Crisp carbonation. GIJOE (1249) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - FEB 11, 2014
Pours golden with a thin white head. Slightly grassy nose. Standard pilsner nose and taste. Slightly bitter. Medium body, lively carbonation. Dry finish. Not bad.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark gold. Aroma is light spice. Med body. A bit bready with mild spicy hop. German, not Czech.

I had this on draft at Monterey Coast Brewing. This beer is crisp, refreshing and has a nice touch of hops. IrishBoy (4224) - Bakersfield, California, USA - APR 17, 2010
Draft at the brewpub.. Nose of light citrus and caramel. Very lightly hazed yellow with a medium lightly lacing pale yellow head. Flavor is a hint of bitterness and caramel. Decent for a little bitterness. Braudog (6789) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUL 9, 2009
Draft pint at the brewpub. This comes across with the character of an American wheat, hazy, grainy and vaguely citrusy. Enjoyable enough, but no pilsner. (#3580, June 2008) vwsteggie (684) - Paxton, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 11, 2004
Had this on tap at the brewery. Has a golden color with little carbonation or head. Smell is of light hops. Taste is nicely malted and finishes with a good hop bitterness. Overall one of the better beer from this place.
