2009 GABF Taster Pours out a dark copper with some red highs topped with a white head. Aroma of light malts and sweet caramel hops. Taste pretty much the same pretty basic amber. unclemattie (4406) - Georgia, USA - APR 11, 2009
Sampler. Deep mahogany/ copper color. Creamy white head. Nice lace. Caramel malt aroma. Light toffee notes. Very low malt character. Weak. High hop, lingering bitterness. Overall, its missing the bready sweetness, and with a higher bitterness, it just feels off balance. so so. jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 7, 2008
on tap-pours an off white ring for a head and amber color. Aroma is thin, sweet medium malt, faint herbal. Taste is thin, sweet medium malt, secondary herbal hops. Semi dry finish. Easy.

Draft at the brewery. Maroon/red color, very small white head. Malty nose with some caramel and a bitter undertone. Not too complex and more of a bitterness lean than is typical of the style, but easily drinkable. gabbama (210) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - AUG 27, 2008
Draft at the brewpub. Not too impressed with this one. Musty aroma. A bit too much hops for this style seem to be a weak attempt to cover for its other flaws. Drinkable but not one I would drink regularly. heemer77 (5361) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JUN 8, 2008
Tap at the brewpub. Medium copper body with a thin white head. The aroma was sweet and malty with some caramel. The taste was a little bit of dirt and bread crust. There was also some caramel. ChainGangGuy (4941) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - NOV 5, 2007
Appearance: Garnet-hued body with a dense, lush off-white head.
Smell: Altogether bland aroma with only faint hint of caramel and yeastiness.
Taste: Light caramel maltiness with a bit of sweetness. Mild hop presence provides a faint tea-like bitterness and a hint of lemon. Bittersweet finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A bit light on flavor, but it’s still pretty decent. BelgianBeerGal (4245) - Panama City, Florida, USA - OCT 19, 2007
Drat poured into a shaker glass. Clear amber colour with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma and flavour just seemed a little dusty and flat. Drinkable but nothing exciting. Least favorite of their beers I tried.
