This is the first Imperial stout I try. This will not be my favourite style but it's quite interesting to try.
Pours dark brown/goldish color with a small beige head and low to very low carbonation.
The aroma has some caramel, alcohol and a bit of coffee.
Taste a lot like coffee, a bit sweet.
On palate has full body with a oily texture.
The flavour is persistent with medium bitterness and a bit spicy.
It's a strong beer, as my first imperial stout I was surprised by the strong coffee flavour and because it's really smooth. VueltaBirrista (129) - Murcia, SPAIN - SEP 4, 2017
Eructoblaster (4328) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 26, 2017
On tap at L’Autre Oeil (Gatineau, Qc). Opaque black body with a thin, lasting, brown creamy head. Rich, strong malty aroma with cocoa, woody, roasted coffee, and some subtle vanilla hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its complex, well balanced, robust malty taste carries chocolate, coffeeish, plummy, and vineous notes. Ends with a long bittersweet/roasty finish. Awesome! UPDATED: AUG 26, 2017 On tap at Cocovail Beer Hall, Barcelona on 25-Aug-2017. Dark brown, almost black in colour with a medium sized beige coloured head which settles down quickly. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee beans. Full body and medium/soft carbonation. Taste of expresso, cocao nibs, resin, malt, and spices. Incredibly smooth with a little alcohol buzz and a dry bittersweet finish.

33 cl bottle, batch no. 01-01-17. Coal black with a small spongy foam. Dense aroma of fig, dark chocolate, dark toffee, soy, black strap molasses and a hint of char. Tastes of a delicious blend of the same plus touches of sourish cream and dark toasted whole grain bread. Heavy body is smooth with low-medium fizz and never gets sticky even with the huge, rich malt flavors. Only a small warming trace of the well-disguised 11%. kaserov (922) - Oviedo, SPAIN - JUL 11, 2017
Postgusto a cacao y café. Fácil de beber e intensa. Me sorprendió el poco alcohol que se capta tanto en boca como en aroma. Delicia. ochniczek (326) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 15, 2017

[ As Montseny Mala Vida ].
[ Courtesy of my EU Swap Summer Santa - 2016 ]. Clear dark black colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, roasted, burnt, chocolate, dark malt, alcohol, light wood. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, malt bitter, wood, chocolate, dark malt, roasted, dark chocolate, alcohol. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light to light light moderate alcoholic.
11.2 oz. bottle viscously poured to a Czech-pils glass at home. showing a black/brown hue, a presentably lasting layer of brownish tan head foam, and good cling to the ribbons & spots of lacing. The nose was roasted, concentrated coffee & cocoa extract, maltiness, with a touch of freezer burn & woodiness, treacle, toffee, sweetness, and a hint of salty soy. The taste was similar notes less the soy, continued strong mocha character, a bit of tartness & tanginess, roasted astringency, and earthy bitterness. Full bodied, with low carbonation, a sticky/syrupy mouthfeel, and booze & warmth that were also definite contributors. Very robust, and almost too hefty to enjoy more than one at a sitting.
