Olor a malta y sabor sobretodo a caramelo.

Acaro (296) - Madrid, SPAIN - JUN 30, 2017
Aroma: Cereals with an earthy touch. Appearance: Dark ambar color with hazy sparkling liquid and rocky white head. Taste: Medium sweetness with a light sour touch. Palate: Medium body with thin texture and average carbonation. Bitter/sweet chocolate finish. Overall: It shows an earthy touch in the nose but it disappears in the tongue. Strong features but easy to drink and it doesn’t leave a long memory.

Small pale beige head. Clear deep brown body with very light carbonation. Deep caramelly spicy aroma with nutty notes. Sweetish nutty spicy caramel taste with buttery toffee notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish earthy caramelly mealy aftertaste with toast and toasted grain notes. Quite nice. (0.33l bottle, from El Corte Ingles, Barcelona.)

Recuerda a alguna Brown Ale.

abirres (126) - Salamanca, SPAIN - NOV 7, 2016

from a store in Barcelona - hazy amber-orange beer with no head retention; spices, citrus and caramel in the nose; medium-bodied, tasty, light malt sweetness, some toastiness and more spices and caramel in the finish, light grapefruity

Palme (4812) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 2, 2016
0.33l bottle from Barcelona airport. It looks quite nice this with a tall fluffy white lacing head on top of a near clear bronze looking body that has lots of microscopic particles floating around. On the nose it is actually malty and a tad sweetish caramel-ish. Unfortunately there’s lots of metallic tones here also. Dark fruits in the back but the metallic nose kinda ruins it a bit for me. It’s high on the carbonation, really small bubble but it’s not over carbonated. Feels thin oily in the mouth. I guess it’s drinkable. A bit boring and sweet but drinkable. Caramel sweet and malt sweet. Not much bitterness in this one really. It is what it is, a sweet Spanish malta. 13.08.2014

330ml bottle from Carrefour Supermarket, Barcelona (€1.85):
Not an offering that I was impressed with or one that I enjoyed in the slightest. It was overly malty (even given the name) & the balance was poor with to much earthy flavours & little else; off-putting & difficult to drink. There was some caramel sweetness & the odd funky flavour early on but these were soon drowned out by the malts; poor stuff really & not one that I’d have again.

Draft at Churchkey. Hazy amber color. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel. Taste is herbal caramel.
