33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a lacing brown head. Mild roasted malt aroma. Flavour is hardroasted with a nice acidity arising. Goes slight dry towards the finish too. Mild creamy carbonated mouthfeel. Ends with a nice roasted malt acidity.

Bottled. A murky brown beer with a dark brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as light notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, slightly burnt, leading to a herbal finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle at Churchkey. Very black with a large tan head. Aroma of cocoa and pepper. Flavor is is bitter chocolate, but very, very bitter. Very thin body. Smoky finish. Two bartenders had high opinions of this one, but three of us customers thought it was a drainpour. You decide.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Almost black with a reddish hue and a dense, light brown head. Burned malts in the aroma. Medium-bodied with hard roasted malts, coffee and a light underlying acidity probably stemming from the malts. Burned bitterness in the finish. 200608

Cloudy dark color; creamy head. It has a mild aroma of roasted malt and yeast. It has a pleasant coffee flavor, but the weak body and the extreme dryness don’t play positively for it.

jtclockwork (16831) - , New Jersey, USA - SEP 30, 2012
Bottle. Pours black with brown head. Nose/taste of wood, toasted black malt, old coffee, cherry skin and cereal grain. Possible slight infection. Dryish finish.

Benzai (16099) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 5, 2015
Bottle shared with Joes and Erwin van Moll @ Brewpub Van Moll. Opaque black color, average sized beige to light brown head. Aroma is malts, lightly roast, lightly iron. Taste malts, lightly roast, lightly earthy, lightly iron, light to moderately bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Not bad at all.

bhensonb (15489) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 22, 2010
Bottle from Pizza Port Bottle Shop. Pours very black with a huge foamy beige/tan head that clings. Smells sweet like a milk stout. Medium body with foamy carbonation. It seems a bit unsweet. Flavor is chocolate and burnt malt, though fairly smooth. It is pretty dry and pretty bitter. It is in fact delicious.

Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 15, 2012
Bottle at B*12, Girona. Black - offwhite head. Metal. Burned. Light milkey. Rather burned. Light licorice. Light coffee. Ok malty. Light finish. Nice.
