Rating #2654 - 2016.06.30 - Bottle from Ferris. Pours a dark black in colour with a minimal tan head that fades quickly. Distinct campfire. Very unique body, mild alcohol warmth, predominant smokiness on the palate tempered with the dry, bitter roasty, earthy character of the stout. sulawang (1217) - - APR 11, 2017
Visual: (cellared for 1 year). Pours a very dark brown with a massive super creamy thick head, ultra tight clusters of active small streams. Awesome.

Nose: sweet, clean beechwood smoked malts (lvl-9)-pungency
Attack: crisp, thinner body, medium sweet light smoked malt entry
Mid-palate: (lvl-5-sweetness), stealth background light sour, light bittersweet woody roast barley malt,
Finish: medium-heavy smoked malt exhale, light char
Summary: The smokiness is certainly there, and it’s nice that it is controlled and sippable. There isn’t much complexity or depth to the thinnish body though; each sip is pretty much the same and there’s not a whole lot to explore. ABV well-hidden, solid, but predictable.
Now this is how its done. Great aroma with a whiff of heavy wood smoke, light cocoa and a pinch of espresso. Decent pour with a pitch black body, no carbonation noticable in the body. The head is lackluster and fizzles away to a thin cream layer. Smoke is layered well and balances with a slight touch of malty sweetness. Roasty and overtly robust with nice dark chocolate notes. FUll bodied, rich, smooth and it takes some time to truly appreciate a sip. beerplace (2394) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 26, 2016

Only listed as "Moody Ales’ Smoked Porter" as far as I could see.
Black color, tan head. Malty, roasted, bitter taste. Roasted aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. A bit smoked aftertste. Sweet, roasted scent.
650ml bottle pours an amber brown color with a 2 finger light brown head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is smoke and chocolate with some nutty tones. Taste is big smoke with chocolate malty sweetness and a nutty, herbal hop bitterness. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, this is a well developed brew that is balanced and tastes great. The smoke is not overpowering. Gerbeer (4215) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 5, 2015
650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with reddish hints and full head. Aromas of oily smoke and nutty dark fruit. Flavors of hickory smoke/ bacon, bitter nuts, and a bit of alcohol. Light to medium body with lots of fine carbonation. Quite nice - and smoked ain’t normally my thing. Oakes (19550) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 1, 2015
Dark brown. Thin head. Big smoke nose with light chocolate. Sweey chocolate start, big smoke, depth of chocolate, nuts...complex and delicious.
