Not sure why retired. It is still available. Nose is earthy taste is earthy sweet light vanilla light barrel lasting head. But below average for a barrel aged beer. tmoreau (4593) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUN 20, 2017
Brought out of retirement? and currently on tap at Lunar Brewing Co., viscously served to a snifter displaying a black/ brown hue, with some ruby highlighting, a finger’s width of brownish tan froth, and dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was roasted, gourmet chocolate, sweetness, slight barrel influence, with induced vanilla, and some dark fruit character. Medium+ bodied, with modest carbonation, the taste was similar notes, noticeable bourbon & warmth (9%), dark fruit tartness & tanginess, and roasted & earthy bitterness with only a little barrel/tannic astringency. Rich & robust, but almost a bit too sweet for me. zebra (2247) - Illinois, USA - MAY 8, 2016

Draft. Dark brown pour. This stuff is salty as fuck. Like a finnish salmiak candy.
