Draft pour. Light golden hued ale with minimal head and lacing. Lively tropical notes, with papaya and ripe mango dominating. Very drinkable, pairs extremely well with seafood (as I believe is the intention). No lingering bitterness but holds its own as a belgo-american style ale. andyhwcinc (1886) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 22, 2014
Enjoyed on tap at Emporium Arcade Bar in Chicago, IL. Appearance is slight cloudy gold no head. Aroma of light spice, light clove. Taste is just eh, light clove but odd off flavors. Wouldn't have again. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 22, 2014
Gold with good, foamy, white head, modest wet lacing / Dry nose of pine, straw, citrus, weed / Medium body, a hint thin, fruity, some sweetness but good hopping and bitter finish / Flavors of pine, weed, straw, lemon, banana, wildflower, spice / Comes together well, much a Belgo-IPA. A golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, very nice sweet fruity malt with good floral hops, light catty notes, coriander, curacao, very nice and Belgian. In mouth, a smooth sweet fruity malt with light floral hops, fruity esters, curacao, nice and quaffable. On tap at emporium, Milwaukee Ave. tmoreau (4631) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - AUG 4, 2014
On tap at Brixie’s in Brookfield, IL., and dispensed to a shaker displaying a hazed, golden color, with a presentably frothy, white layer of head foam, and wavy cling to the lacing. The nose was light sweetness, light Belgian yeast, mild citrus & spice, with hints of banana & bubblegum. Light bodied, the texture was a little watery, as the taste offered light esters, low hop bitterness, and a touch of lemony tartness. Quite mild, but basically quaffable & refreshing.

Draft on tap at Haymarket Brewpub (Chicago, IL). Exciting to find this one. Pours a pale yellow straw hue, harvest grains with bubbly carbonation. Whitish head atop is a solid layer, decent stick around and lacing. Aromas are some bready malts, touches of faint citrus and earth. Straw, gentle kiss of melon and gentle spicy yeast. A bit tame. Initial is cool and calm, some gentle fruit, pear and banana, some smooth estery sweet elements. Some citric jabs come in, faint lemon. Middle is a bit bready, some gentle spice, earthy hops. Mellow bready malts, flaked wheat. Backend is a bit dry, touches of Belgian yeast with some gentle earthiness, spice. Finish is a bit dry and yeast driven. Paw paw really out of focus as this just comes off as a mellow Belgian. Ok. Refreshing, light, but perhaps a touch stale. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - JUL 29, 2014
[Tap] Pours a hazy golden color with a nice cap of white head. Nose is of citrus, yeast and cardamom. Sweet and fruity flavor profile includes yeast, residual Belgian sugars and light hops. A tad on the sweet side, otherwise I thought this was a decent beer. kaser (6382) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 27, 2014
Draft pour at fish bar in Chicago. Very belgiumy. Thought I wouldn’t like it because of the style but it is pretty tasty. Maybe the warm outside weather helps. Lemon and grapefruit notes. Light orange and clear. charule (2297) - New York, New York, USA - JUL 25, 2014

Draf. As a culinary guy and a culinary-type brewer this left me unimpressed. It’s your standard belgian ale, and nothing is wrong with it but it does nothing for me on the culinary side of things, not even subtly.
