These guys mean business. I haven’t tasted an Aussie beer at this level of complexity. This is big boy Belgian yeast character with a backdrop of quality hops and brown sugar ! Outstanding
Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles’ place. Thanks zvikar. Murky brown with a beige ring. Cocoa, pleasing aroma, a little roasty and faint notes of PX sherry. Deep sweet taste with cocoa bitterness. Full body, soft fizz, cocoa finish. DSG (15119) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - JAN 6, 2017
Bottle sample at a tasting at troubles’s place. Thanks Tom L. Brown. Big nutty aroma with Nutella, caramel, toast, chocolate. Sweet flavor with caramel, nuts, yeast, a bit of fruitiness, and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Good. zvikar (6349) - Ramat Gan, ISRAEL - JAN 1, 2017

Hazy brown with a thin cream head. Beautiful aroma of malts and citrus. Taste it’s a beautiful blends of an IPA and a brown ale: citrus and caramel, lots of roasted malts, strong hoppy balance. Not too boozy, medium bodied, medium carbonation. Good ale! CacheManyHose (757) - HONG KONG - JUN 23, 2016
Drank w Matt after buying our mattress/first H Core trial class. Cloudy brown-red with beige fizzy fine head. Smells of nutty brown ale, moderate yeast and spice, cinnamon, slightly musty fermented fruit (plum, apple, pear) and faint raisin and chocolate. Taste is spice and lemon, moderate to heavy bitterness, some bready malt. Body is bitter, oily, frothier finish.

Bottle from Brewcraft at new apt. Hazy cola brown with thin white head. Aroma isn't too strong - some nuttiness, some pine bitterness. Taste follows - some nutty malt, bitter resin bite, alcohol on the finish. Rich palate. Not bad at all but not as interesting maybe as I expected. wilza320 (23) - - MAY 27, 2016
330ml bottle, poured a deep brown with a slightly tan head that did dissipate fairly quickly. Some roasty aroma mixed with a pleasant hop bitterness and yeast esters coming through. Super smooth and delicious on a cold day ANZUShophunter (507) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAR 27, 2016
From bottle in snifter at Fitz and Potts, Nundah. Pours deep brown with tan head and has chocolate malt and citrus hops on the nose. Rich taste from the malt and yeast profile that blends nicely into a smooth bitter finish. A very nice brew from the dark side of the Moon. mrjez (659) - Osaka, JAPAN - MAR 18, 2016
330ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with only a tiny light tan head but some nice lacing. Plenty of chocolate wheat up front in the aroma, Belgian yeast poking through, brown sugar, brown bread. Flavour gives a sharp roasted malt note, coffee, slightly burnt, bitter chocolate. Much more porter or stout than brown ale. Medium-bodied, low carbonation, medium bitterness, coats the mouth. Very nice overall. M_Sack (762) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - FEB 12, 2016
Bottle. Dark brown, verging on black with a frothy cappuccino coloured head and heavy lacing. Dark caramel, chocolate, dark brown sugar, toasty malt and citrus hop aromas. Immediate citrus, grapefruit and resin flavours provide solid bitterness, which is well balanced by chocolate and roasted malts. Delicious beer, with the flavour of the hops being showcased without cloying bitterness detracting due to the huge malt bill.
