Pours dark copper with aromas of pine and grapefruit and white head. Caramel malts lead to a hoppy finish with pine and grapefruit. cjldm (55) - - AUG 11, 2014
First had at the brewery - very fresh and full of aroma, very pleasantly surprised - now sampling from the bottle, served in a spiegelau glass.
Golden orange, bit of head, some lacing.
Great nose, antipodean stone fruits (in spite of the predominately US hops!), clean spice, orange peel, Belgian strawgrass. Funky and grapefruity.
West coast pine comes through strongly, a lot of funk and great floral taste. Bitter, breakfast fruit, some Nor Cal in there and a touch of smoke too. Some toffee sweetness going back and a crisp butter finish.
Tart and crisp...almost too sessionable!
Wouldn't want to take more than one or two to a summer BBQ! A great Aussie IPA, makes a difference having something fresh and local that hasn't sat on a ship for 3 months and is fairly priced since you don't pay import duty on a 7% beer. Especially good on tap!

Dark hazy coppery with a thin white head.
Huge fruit aroma, strawberry jam, pineapple, passion fruit and a sweet banana bread.
Malty and thick, bread dough base for a tropical fruit bowl. Strong peach, pine and berry, great pine resins give a great bitter bite.
The finish is thick and smooth, marmalade sweet and spice, smokey hops bitterness. Great IPA.

Pours like sun, a different golden colour from top to bottom. Has a strong pine aroma. Hoppy at the front. Citrus but gentle in mouthfeel. Hint of honey. Quality beer.

Pours a cloudy orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, pine, citrus and hops. Taste is medium sweet leading to a big hoppy finish. Awesome stuff! Davros (3187) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 29, 2014
Pours dark amber with a large, lasting mousse-like head.
Nose shows lovely sweet clean malt with a cookie dough-like hint, musk sticks, fruity confectionery and mango/paw paw/rockmelon. Lovely.
Toned down flavours, some sweet clean malt, grapefruit, pine and bready notes leading to an aggressive sharp bitterness.
Carbonation is a bit over the top. maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAR 26, 2014
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2014 Bottle form Mane Liquor. Straight from the bottle. Props for the epic label. Nose is a piney monster of a thing. Has some nice tropical and tangy notes there as well - think pineapple and guava. Some pineapple and mango comes through in the taste but it is dominated by grass and pine driven hops. Drinks far too easily for 7% with only a slight hint of heat and has a full mouth feel with lingering bitterness. Reminds me of the first time I had Hop Hog. Simple but done very well. Very tasty stuff jonnyguns (1105) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 30, 2014
Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a golden orange with a white head. Smells like a fresh pine Forrest...if there is such a thing. So fruit driven. Loads of pine, guava and citrus. Tastes more pine needles with a hint of the toffee biscuit malts coming through. Pretty approachable. Would get you smashed off a 4 pack on 7%. Really fresh ipa great stuff.

Would never have picked this as an IPA in a blind. Missing that typical supet-citrus flavour of most US IPA’s, not necessarily to it’s detriment. Vegetable and malty aroma, high carbonation, dry finish. Not a punch of flavour and bitterness like most, but at 7% is not exactly sessionable. Some bready flavour with a grapefruit and herbal finish. Quite enjoyable
