The Gullah people of coastal South Carolina and Georgia tell tales of Boo Hags haunting the Lowcountry in search of suitable hosts to ride. Feeding off the exhalations of its prey, she induces a state of dream-filled paralysis leaving her victims alive, but drained of vitality. But don’t let all that spooky talk worry you. The shadowy pallor and hop intensity of our Boo Hag Black IPA may just take your breath away, but we’re willing to bet you’ll be up for another pint.
12/17/16. On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown pour, almost black, under a nice tan head. Good aroma, hops abound, some dank, some piney, some citrus - smells nice. Flavor is good, but not up to par. Light pine, some citrus, dank, coffee and chocolate. Pretty tasty.
